Coach Salvo grew up playing baseball at S.I.B.L. in Swansea, MA and eventually became a two-time team captain and four year letterman at Tabor Academy in Marion, MA. While at Tabor, he earned a scholarship from Fairfield University where he started for the baseball team all 4 years.

Also while at Fairfield, Coach Salvo broke a school record for having 400-straight chances without committing an error. He was one of 7 Stags all-time to finish a season without an error (min. 75 chances). He ranked second in the country in 2015 for most chances without an error and graduated in a four-way tie for first place in career fielding percentage at .990.He played summer ball with both the New Bedford Bay Sox of the New England Collegiate Baseball League and the Wareham Gatemen of the Cape Cod Baseball League.

Since 2015, Salvo has worked with young catchers and hitters through Fairfield University Baseball Camps, as well as Coastal Connecticut Athletics (Danbury, CT) and Integrated Sports Training (Norwalk, CT). Salvo’s goal is to develop young baseball players of all ages in the areas of hitting and playing the catcher’s position.
